Come on in
Well, hey. Come on in. There's a seat with your name on it, and I'm real glad you're here.
I'm Brett, and this started as crochet. Just me, a hook, and a ball of yarn up here in Maine, trying to make something with my hands after too long spent staring at screens. I figured I'd pick up a craft. I didn't expect it to turn into so much more than that.
Because the crochet was never really the point. The point was the quiet it put me in. An hour would go by and I'd forget to check my phone. Making one small, useful thing, a blanket by lamplight, a scarf that actually fits, felt better than a whole day of being busy. That's what I found, and Cozy Pine is me trying to hand it to you.
Here's what the whole place is built on. We're quietly against the hustle. Not in a loud way. We're too tired to be loud about it. But slowing down on purpose isn't a reward you earn after the real work is done. It is the real work. Making something with your hands because the making matters, not because it's productive. Choosing warmth over the endless push.
There's crochet here, of course. Tools, patterns, little things that teach you. But those are really just the door. You pick up a hook to make a thing, sure. But mostly you pick it up to step out of the noise for a while. That is the actual product. The rest is packaging.
You don't have to be good at any of this to belong here. You don't have to be caught up, or put together, or anything other than who you are today. That's always been enough, and don't let anybody tell you different.
Honestly, I don't fully know where Cozy Pine is headed yet. But it'll be slow, and it'll be warm, and you're welcome to come along.
Life's better when it's cozy.
Brett
